A PRAYER TO CONSIDER?

Jan 14, 2025

Colossians 1:9-11 (ESV) 9 And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy;

Good morning!

Colossians 1:9-11 contains one of the most fabulous prayer requests found in all the Bible. In these verses, the Apostle Paul speaks a prayer that touches on every need of the Colossians. It is the type of prayer we should find ourselves wanting to pray for others and have others pray for us.

This intercessory prayer is a great example of why we should always have a constant prayerful mindset. Staying pro-active in our prayer life and not just waiting to pray when an emergency has landed in our lap.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

In closing, if you find yourself having questions about God’s will for your life, try studying and meditating on the above verses. The truth within them will help set your heart and mind to be more at ease.

May the Spirit of the Lord continually lead us to keep others in our prayers regularly!
