AVOIDING DANGEROUS DIRECTIONS!

Sep 19, 2023

Proverbs 16:25 (ESV) There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.

Good morning!

I recall watching a particular news story many years ago that talked about (At that time) how during severe weather incidents (Heavy snowfall, etc.) the signal to the GPS would sometimes have error issues where the system would send out incorrect directions. Directions that seemed right to the person who received them, but in reality ended up being wrong and gave directions that could possibly lead people towards danger or worse.

In this news story, a couple and their young daughter followed the calm (Correct-sounding) GPS voice into a very remote seldom traveled area while in freezing weather. They became stuck in a snow drift but fortunately did survive due to being spotted by a person out driving a snowmobile.

During our lives, there will be times when we wander down the wrong path. Sometimes we are misled by others, and on other occasions through our own misguided (Unrenewed Romans 12:2) minds as we incorrectly listen to our own calm, sincere (But sincerely wrong) voice steering us in the wrong direction.

Sure, there will and can be times when God’s path does not appear correct to us. But, that’s often only because we are immature and still developing our spiritual ability to see and perceive God’s hand trying to direct the way we should go. Thankfully, the closer we draw to Him, the clearer things will continue to become for us and to us!

John 14:26 – But the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Let us strive daily to learn how to better hear our Shepherd’s voice.
