DEALING WITH CHANGING TIMES!

Apr 18, 2025

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NASB) But realize this, that in the last days, difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, [a]haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of [b]godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

Good Morning!

It’s easy to see with each passing year how the standards in our country change substantially. Today, fewer hold to Christian principles and morals that were evident in most places for many years.

When viewing these changes from a biblical perspective we can’t ignore the spiritual warfare-related factors driving these changes. (Ephesians 6:12)

Not surprisingly, data from a Barna Group survey performed several years ago revealed that less than 1 percent of Americans (ages 18-23) believe:

1. Absolute moral truth exists.
2. The Bible is accurate.
3. Satan is real.
4. You can’t get to Heaven by your actions.
5. Jesus Christ was sinless.
6. God is the all-knowing, all-powerful creator of the world.

More troubling than that, large numbers of “Evangelical Christians” reject many of the basic precepts of the Christian faith as well.

So, the question is what are we to do? Regardless of what others do, think, say, or believe, we must stay accountable individually and do as Hebrews 10:23 says. “Hold fast to the profession of our faith.” And do so without wavering!

We must also keep praying. 1Thessalonians 5:17 – pray without ceasing,

Let us strive to hold fast to our faith in God! Staying anchored in the power of God so we can keep interceding in prayer for our children, family, friends, fellow Believers, country, and world!

Galatians 6:9 – Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
