Good Morning!

Our ears let us hear spiritual truths, principles, and precepts of the Bible. Hearing puts us in the position of being able to heed sound Biblical advice.

Most adults now realize the main reason their parent, guardian, teacher, coach, or principal repeated various key points was so they could actually hear what was said so it could sink into their heads!

In Revelation 3:22, Jesus reviews what to do with the information He just shared (See – Rev 3:1-21). Jesus is saying “Think through what I have said.” His emphasis on this phrasing needs to make us realize we should stop, slow down and give the matter our full attention! 

Jesus reinforces this point in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. 

With the distractions growing around us daily, it’s easy to see why Jesus felt the need to be sure we heard His multiple warning to keep our focus on the things of God. 

While it’s not always easy, we should still strive to slow down to hear and then apply what God is saying. Letting Him warn and direct us (before we act) away from decisions that make our lives more complicated than they need to be.

May our ears be open to hearing His voice throughout this day!
