Good morning!
A quality that comes with developing into a mature Believer is being able to stand in the power and authority of God’s word. When you have a sure footing in Christ and trouble comes your way (And it will) you will have a good idea of what you need to do!
In the verses before John 33, Jesus warned His Apostles that difficult times would come in the form of trials, tragedies, and hardships. However, he also told them not to worry because He had already secured eternal victory for anything they would face.If they would only maintain faith in Him.
Think about this, if Jesus warned His Apostles’ that life’s troubles would come for them (And Him) what makes us think we will escape them?
We must take the same advice in John 16:33 and learn to trust and rely on His authoritative power to see us through our troubling times. We must also realize this trust process takes time and effort, so don’t expect it to happen overnight.
Let us strive to trust in the victory Jesus achieved at the cross and know that our enemy (Satan) no longer has the final say over our lives!
Fear will hold us back, but faith can allow us to press forward!
Romans 8:37 – Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Have a trust-filled day in what Christ has done for us, in us, and through us!
