Good morning!
If you plan to build a home to last you for the rest of your life, you don’t cut your costs by buying the cheapest type of foundation material to build on. That is because the foundation needs to support every part of the home.
It must withstand not only the weight of everything on top of it, the rigors of time, elements and the storms that will come to test it.
Life is similar in that it is also a continuous process of building. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13 warns us how unwise and dangerous it is to build our spiritual foundation on any foundation other than Christ (Isaiah 28:16). Doing so leads us susceptible to experiencing foundation failures down the road.
At first, when we use inferior (Internal/spiritual) foundations alternatives, (Our desires, philosophies, false religious doctrines, etc.) they can appear up to the task. But like physically based poor substandard building materials, a poor spiritual foundation will be exposed in time as inferior. It will wear out, tear or crumble when the spiritual storms of life continually crash against it.
As believers, we must build on Christ as our spiritual foundation without mixing in corrupted philosophies.
Let us strive to follow the blueprint and building plan given to us in the Holy Scripture. That way, we can lead the most stable life possible on a daily basis.
Colossians 1:10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Have a firm, rubble free day in the power of His might!
