Good Morning!
We often plan for our days, weeks, months, and even years in advance with anticipation and presumption. We tend to forget that life is full of changes we never saw coming. We can get used to making plans this way to where we begin to think we are in total control of our time and destiny!
James gives us a powerful warning to never assume we are in control of our lives. When we do that, we dishonor God. Taking for granted that all of OUR plans will come to pass.
We must remember God may have a different plan than the one we set up for ourselves. We need to be and stay available and willing for Him to dictate changes. After all, if we say we cannot do anything without God, not even take our next breath. Then how can we have a problem with His planning?
Let us strive to try and have our plans align with His plan. That way, we will not be likely to go astray from an eternal perspective.
Matthew 6:33-34 – But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Have a blessed day walking in the plans of God!
