Good afternoon!
C.S. Lewis said, “Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.”
The Bible says we are to humble ourselves by taking (By faith) our concerns, worries and cares to God. We are to make a sincere and concerted effort to trust God with and in our situation(s). We should strive to learn various biblical principles during these lessons so that we can grow and mature into persons God can in time exalt for His glory.
We must be careful not to become proud and start thinking we handle countless life situations so well that we are in control and capable of working everything out ourselves.
But, in case we forget, God is more than capable of placing events and people into our lives to remind us how much we need Him.
Let us strive to become and remain dependent on the Holy Spirit. That way, we not only become humble; we will stay humble and become content to live our lives thinking of others before we think of ourselves.
I pray you find all the patience you need today by staying in His presence!
Philippians 2:13 – for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
