Good morning!
Giving way too much time to the voice of fear that tells us something terrible may occur only to have nothing happen is something most of us have experienced at some time in our lives. However, as Believers, this is not how we are supposed to live.
Here in Psalms 55:3-5, David was overcome with fear thinking he was in a hopeless situation. The voice of fear he listened to (The flesh) convinced him to forsake courage and faith and embrace hopelessness. However, the reality was that his fear was based on what may happen. Not what would happen.
If we are not diligent to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) whenever we face what appears to be a hopeless situation, one of the first things to happen is our flesh will panic and fear will creep in.
We must stay in a position to hear and heed the Father’s “Encouraging voice.” Ignoring the voice of fear as it tries to speak to our flesh.
Psalm 23:4 – Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
If you are currently facing what looks to be a really tough situation, just remember that the Holy Spirit is available to walk us through our difficult times.
Let us strive to familiarize ourselves with His voice. Knowing that heeding what He says can and will make all the difference in our world!
Praying that you have a fabulously fear-free day in His mercy and grace!
