Good morning!
Have you ever had a time when you felt you were on top of the world? It seemed like you were in complete control of every situation. You thought you could do no wrong!
Then without notice, everything spiraled out of control and fell into complete shambles. Leaving you feeling more like a worm than a king.
There is a key truth God wants us to learn in Isaiah 41:14. That being He works best in our weakness.
If you have ever experienced how hard it is to help someone who really needs help but refuses to admit they need it, then you know how difficult and frustrating that situation can be.
When we walk around acting like we are god and in control of our own destiny, we don’t leave much if any room for God to work within us or on our behalf.
We may say “Jesus is Lord” without blinking, but in reality, we have decided we don’t need His help to navigate the hazardous highways of life, we are living independently of Him. Having relegated Him to the passenger seat.
2 Corinthians 12:9 – But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Let us humble ourselves and use the tools the Lord has given us that rely on His power and might instead of purposely and inadvertently relying on ourselves in an attempt to be victorious.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
Never forget, the bigger we make ourselves, the smaller we are making God!
