STILL, TRYING TO FIGURE OUT GOD?

Apr 3, 2025

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) 8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. 9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Good morning!

If most people had a chance to listen in on a group discussion between elite scientists discussing advanced theories of black holes on how they affect time and space we probably would not be able to follow and understand very much if any of their conversation.

It wouldn’t be due to our not speaking English or because what they were discussing was nonsense. Instead, it would be due to our lack of an advanced level of specialized learning in that specific field.

Isaiah points out that we can’t figure out God. We will end up wearing out our brains trying to reason out why certain things happen to us in life.

God continually advises us to trust Him and live by faith in His Word. He knows we cannot understand the reasoning behind everything in this fallen world.

The next time you are tempted to invest a great deal of time and energy trying to figure out something beyond your level of reasoning, conceptualization, and comprehension…make yourself stop. Instead,  pray and ask God to increase your faith and your ability to trust in Him and His decisions.

Psalm 107:28-30  Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses. He caused the storm to be still so that the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad because they were quiet, So He guided them to their desired haven.

Praying your day will be filled with the confidence that the Lord does watch over you!
