Good morning!
Many of us are fairly familiar with how the examples of others have powerfully impacted us. At times negatively and at other times positively.
We must be careful to avoid becoming professional hearers of the Word instead of doers of the Word.
James 1:22 – Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
In other words, we hear great examples of how to live, we say we agree with it, and we acknowledge it, but in the end, we never get around to doing it.
We must be on guard to always remember it is not sufficient to only have light, but to also walk in the light. That means our conduct should (Will reflect if we do or don’t) God’s powerful, life-changing doctrine.
Colossians 3:17 – And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
As Believers, we are partakers of his holy nature. A nature that can and should lead us to be concerned about protecting our Father’s honor. So much so that we strive to be Godly examples of God’s light. Living in such a manner that people are attracted to walk in His light!
May your day be filled with examples of the Lord’s light!
