Good morning!
These verses give an excellent example of the advantage of our New Testament access to the presence of God as opposed to what Old Testament saints had. Of course, this access is contingent on us allowing the Holy Spirit to work within our hearts, soul, and minds.
It is believed this psalm was written by David’s in advance of having the ark (The then symbol of God’s presence) moved into a new location that was built and prepared for it. As David led the procession with the ark toward the entrance to the temple, the porters would throw open in celebration holding the doors wide for the ark (God’s presence) to enter in. Even though there was much ceremony involved in this event, David conducted himself in a manner that kept the emphasis on a holy life and faith in Christ, of whom the ark was a type.
We need to work on keeping a similar attitude and disposition by learning to recognize how Satan works within our trials and tribulations to keep us frustrated, confused, disappointed, and offended in an attempt to lead us to abandon our righteous standing/position in Christ.
If he can distract us, we will slowly, systematically, and mistakenly step away from holding the doors open for Christ to enter and openly operate within our life.
Sadly, this allows the enemy to close us off from our potential blessings and stop us from being led and guided by the Spirit into all truth (Daily decisions that affect where our life will go).
Let us strive to stay mindful of who the King of Glory is, so we can easily recognize every trick and tactic Satan may try against us (2 Cor. 10:4-6).
Have a triumphant day in Him!
