Good morning!
Throughout many places in the world, the wealth of accumulated wisdom compiled by older generations that can be of great assistance to younger generations seems to be often disregarded.
Proverbs 20:29 points out the strengths of both generations and how they need one another. While the younger men are needed for their physical strength, the older men should be coveted for their vast wisdom and experience.
Verse 29 also says that while the older men may no longer be physically up to the task of placing new ideas into play, they can still provide wisdom and insight to the younger generations so they can carry out the work.
The experience and knowledge elders can provide to society should be considered a treasured resource. What they have learned over their many years can help keep younger individuals from needlessly trying to reinvent the wheel.
Proverbs 4:7 – Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
My mom used to always say… “It pays to listen to your elders.”
Let us strive to build upon the firm, established, wise, and knowledgeable foundation of the Bible.
Have a wise day in the wisdom of the word of God!
