Good morning!
For years this world’s societies have gradually conditioned people to think more about themselves than others. Consequently, you can find countless magazines, online blogs, channels, tv programs, and commercials that constantly remind people “To live life to the fullest!” However, they are encouraged to do so without factoring in Biblical morals or standards. Let alone worrying about how they go about it or with any thoughts toward bad circumstances or consequences that may follow.
While John 10:10 does state “God wants us to have life and have it more abundantly” it is defining that within the context of living life within the parameters of the teachings of the Bible. This, by the way, leaves ample room for the Believer to live in a manner that is highly enjoyable but does not compromise their Christian walk.
John 10:10 – The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness.
Meanwhile, Satan’s plan is to trick us into giving ourselves to various lusts that please us. Lusts steer us towards a self-centered plan. A plan that can effectively steal, kill and destroy the course God has planned for us.
Let us strive to keep our spiritual eyes on God’s intended plan. This will allow us to live an enjoyable, well-balanced spiritual and physical life. But do so while still keeping our carnally centered self on the shelf where it can do us less harm.
May this day find us operating as the Lord’s selfless servants!
