Good morning!
Hebrews 13:20-21 covers and conveys what is viewed as one of the most admired prayers in the Bible.
These verses can speak to Christians struggling with wondering why it seems so hard to trust and follow God’s will instead of their own.
While we know God’s will for us is perfect, we must also realize the roads we travel in learning to pursue Him and His will rarely are. Our journey has the potential to be full of dead ends, detours, broken bridges, potholes, breakdowns, delays, dead ends, and missed turns.
James 1:2-4 – Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
We must have faith and believe that doing the will of God is not out of the realm of reality for us. Remembering that although God equipped us for this challenging task (Romans 12:6-8) we must still do the work!
The often-quoted phrase “Let go and let God.” is very popular, but it is not a Bible verse. The Bible strongly steers us toward “let God” lead, guide, and empower us, so we can be better equipped to accomplish His will!
May we all seek and treasure the ability to do His will today!
