WHY BEING PREPARED FOR ANYTHING HELPS US IN EVERYTHING!

Mar 10, 2026

Philippians 4:6-7 (ESV) 6 do not be anxious about ANYTHING, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Good morning,

There is an old saying that rings true that bad news can travel around the world before good news can even get its slippers on. We now live in a world where bad news is just a text or screen alert away!

As a believer in Christ, it is okay to be concerned about the latest news, disaster, tragedy, controversy, wrongdoing, or ANYTHING that possibly may impact your life! However, we must not fall into the trap of an unbelieving mindset programmed by fear.

We cannot forget the weapons of warfare God has given us. Weapons that allow us to combat ANYTHING in prayer.

Prayer (Scripturally performed as God is not a Genie) enables us to petition God with our concerns and needs. As His children, we can bring ANYTHING before Him! This means prayer can cover ANYTHING, which in turn covers EVERYTHING! And prayer can reach anywhere in the world (2 Corinthians 10:4-6).

Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to focus on God’s divine presence and nearness to us. This should reduce or eliminate our becoming fearful or anxious about bad news. It should also keep us strong when intimidating and immovable obstacles in life show up. We can rest knowing God will always provide a way of deliverance for us.

Let us strive to renew our minds and hearts daily by staying prepared for EVERYTHING and refusing to be pushed around by ANYTHING!

May your day be full of faith in the authority and power of the word of God!

Psalm 73:28 But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works.
