Good morning!
A few years before the COVID crisis occurred, I bought an Infrared Thermometer for our house after discovering how useful it was to have.
I use this tool to remove the guesswork about whether an AC/Heating system is working correctly or if any air leaks were impacting our utility costs and comfort.
A temperature gun lets me know how far off my guesses are from the truth. And while guesses can be close, having a measurable truth to find where a home is losing cool air during a Louisiana Summer is way more effective than guesswork.
John 16:13 tells us not to go through life-determining and making critical decisions by relying on what we think or feel. To speculate and blindly assume or guess our way through life can cost us much more than a high utility bill.
God has gifted us with a Helper (The Holy Spirit) to assist us in removing a lot of life’s guesswork.
Here are a few samples of the ways He helps us in life.
John 16:12-18: Declares the things of Christ
John 14:16-18: Abides with us
Romans 8:16: Encourage us
Romans 8:26: In prayer
Acts 1:8: Empower us
John 14:26: Reminds us of the Word
John 14:26: Teaches us all things
Let us strive to gauge and judge all we do from God’s perfect perspective of Divine truth, not blind speculation.
Have a terrifically tempered day in The Lord!
