Good morning!

Arthur T. Pierson once said that there is a sevenfold measure of the power of God spoken here in verse 20 in Paul’s benediction. We see the following about God.

1. He is able to do what we ask.
2. He is able to do all that we ask.
3. He is able to do what we think.
4. He is able to do all that we think.
5. He is able to do above all that we ask or think.
6. He is able to do abundantly above all that we ask or think.
7. He is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we could ask or think.

At this point, it seems the only other thing we need is to say Hallelujah and Amen!

Expositors write that “God’s capacity to meet His people’s spiritual needs far exceeds anything they can either request in prayer anticipate, conceive or pray for according to His will (Philippians 4:7).

Anything we desire to do for God is activated through God’s power (dynamis). It continually operates within our lives as believers. And guess what? This is the same power that can work within us! It is the Spirit of Christ within us that gives us supernatural dunamis power. The power that works to sanctify our “Believing” hearts.

This is but one of the reasons Scripture encourages us to not only continually strive to be filled with the Spirit (Eph. 5:18) but to continually walk by the Spirit (Gal. 5:16).

Let us stay keenly aware that God can do amazing and mighty things through us when we set our hearts to fully serve Him.

Psalms 23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
