Good morning,

Although the Apostle Paul was speaking to a group of slaves, the point he is making is applicable to every Believer. That point being that Believers should strive to be efficient in whatever our worldly occupation/calling.

It doesn’t matter if we are running an elite business or flipping burgers, no matter what it is we are doing, we need to do it as unto the Lord. We should never do things because man is or isn’t watching us. Instead, we need to realize the truth that God is the only one who not only sees everything we do but also knows the reason behind why we did it. Something He alone will judge in eternity. That in itself should tend to make us better employees, better employers, and thus better people.

John 8:32 – And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Let us strive to not only be a hearer of these words but act to be doers of them as well. That is an excellent way to strengthen the reputation of Believers in the workplace as well as everywhere else.

James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
