Good morning!
Over the years, I slowly learned that patience has many rewards that come with it. It can keep us out of senseless arguments, and allow us to accomplish personal growth and development while helping eliminate countless pointless painful life experiences.
It can keep us from throwing away our hard-earned money on impulse purchases and help us build, maintain, and even salvage relationships with people that might otherwise have been lost.
Although some people may mistake patience for weakness, verse 11 alludes to a person who shows endurance (Patience) towards sinners (Displaying a Christ-like approach) as someone who should be admired and not looked at with disgrace. Given due credit for their virtue and wisdom.
Psalm 86:15 – But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.
Remember, if we can learn to be as patient with people and their shortcomings as God has been with ours, over time, we can gain a better understanding of people.
There is a saying that goes “Vincit qui patitur.” It means “He conquers who endures.”
Let us strive to be someone who conquers and endures the shortcomings of others for the glory of God!
Romans 8:37 – No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Praying for you to have a powerfully patient day by the wisdom of His Words!
