FAITH THAT BRINGS FORTH FRUIT!

Sep 18, 2026

Hebrews 116 - And without faith, it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Good morning!

In the Zondervan NIV Bible Commentary “Faithfulness” is translated from the Greek word pistis. In the KJV this word is translated as “faith.” Pistis includes both meanings (faith and faithfulness), but in Galatians 5:22 it seems to reflect the meaning “trustworthiness or reliability.”

Paul says that Christ dwelled in Him through the Holy Spirit. As Bible Believers, we also have that same indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Hopefully, when people encounter us they can detect that Christ lives in us. This indwelling of God’s Spirit enables us to be faithful and thus fruitful so we can accomplish the task God has assigned us to do on His behalf.

Having the mind of Christ (Imparted to us by studying and meditating on God’s Word) plays a key role in helping us be faithful in our walk with God’s blessing of fruit from our faithful labors budding and blossoming in our life and over into the lives of others.

Galatians 5:22 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.

Let us strive to be faithful to God’s work on this day and bear Godly fruit from walking in the love of Christ with everyone we meet.
