Good morning!
This verse speaks to how we should deal with what many people have struggled with at various times during their lives. That being…the act of forgiveness!
Forgiveness is the primary reason that Christ came, suffered, and died. On our behalf!
The thought expressed in Mark 11:25 takes into account that there are numerous reasons (Many justifiable) why we can be upset with other people’s actions toward us. However, regardless of whatever dirty deeds they have done against us, as Believer’s, we must still forgive them.
We must realize it takes God’s supernatural power working in and through us to genuinely forgive others. It is God who empowers us with the ability to repent and decline to strike back at those who’ve committed the worst kind of acts against us. Or possibly those near and dear to us!
If you find yourself upset to the point of praying for God to rain down fire on the person(s) who’ve done you wrong, as tempting as that is, please don’t. Instead, pray (By faith) for God to empower you to forgive them. And then for God to touch them in a way where they will see the wrong they have committed and repent of it. In essence, we should pray for them in the same manner we need God to mercifully open our eyes to those things we at times did to or against others!
Have a fabulous forgiving-minded day in God’s persevering power!
Colossians 3:13 – Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
