Good morning

In the United States many places besides Las Vegas can be labeled as Sin City. The documented history of the city of Corinth reveals it readily surpassed the sinful reputations of many of today’s cities. The Apostle Paul faced a sinful atmosphere as he tried to bring the gospel into places that were clearly in need of the message of repentance, salvation, and freedom from sin!

I found it a little surprising to hear Paul confess he is not a very good public speaker since when reviewing everything he was able to accomplish for God. It just seems like he would have come across as a powerful dynamic speaker. Obviously, as documented in the 2 Corinthians those who heard him speak said that was not the case.

2 Corinthians 10:10 – Someone says, “His letters are weighty and powerful, but when he appears in person he is weak, and as a speaker he is nothing.”

Paul’s life proves we should never allow ourselves to be deceived or made ashamed by others for any reason. Invalid reasons that prevent us from stepping into our roles (Big or small) as spokespersons for the Kingdom of God.

Remember, we do not need correct word pronunciation, sentence structure, or look and dress like a polished professional speaker. Although God can use those skill-sets, he does not expect that from everyone. Many of us do not have those skills, but similar to the Apostle Paul, we can still be used mightily as a mouthpiece for God.

When it comes to serving God, let us strive to be more worried about being available than perfect!
