Living Through Forgiving

Jun 19, 2026

Colossians 3:13 (NKJV) 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

Good morning!

After accepting God’s precious gift of salvation, I noticed His work in me was going to take more time and patience than I first anticipated.

Since then, I’ve had the chance to experience the pain and pleasure of learning how to show patience and forgiveness towards others.

The reality is being a forgiving person can be easy with some people while seeming impossible with others. That’s because some people can do very mean and cruel things that provoke us to wrath.

Eventually, I learned being patient and showing love to people in difficult situations required a power beyond my natural ability. In fact, it required a supernatural power to help keep my anger in control and steer me toward forgiving people. Even when they may have had ill-will towards me.

I should note, like many, I still consider myself a work in progress.

In line with my gradual revelation of God’s eternal forgiveness, I have learned (Still learning) a better perspective of how and why I need to forgive others.

Galatians 5:24 – And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Let us strive to do our best to follow God’s example of forgiveness. This will only help us as we grow into mature Believers who can make a positive influence on those who have been watching us.

Micah 7:18 Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.

Have a very memorable day walking in His supernatural power!
