Good morning!
Many of us have experienced times when the unexpected blows of life knocked us down and out of life’s journey. Leaving us to gather our physical and spiritual composure before we slowly started the process of getting back up.
Before these verses, David found his spirit overwhelmed, and his heart tired and empty due to persecution by King Saul and the rebellion of his son Absalom. David found himself in a position where he had powerful enemies to contend with from all sides.
We also need to be prepared for those times when we may have enemies coming at us from all sides. In such times, it is not unusual for our faith in God to be the only thing we have left to hold on to.
However, like David’s situation, even though our challenges in life can be great, our faith can be great as well!
Let us remember to hold fast to the profession of our faith. Realizing that if we stay in Christ, we will never be totally overcome or overwhelmed by our darkest times.
Psalm 9:18 – For the needy shall not always be forgotten, Nor the expectation of the poor perish forever.
May your day be a victorious one in His power and His might!
