READY TO LEAVE OLD PAINFUL PATHWAYS BEHIND?

Oct 15, 2026

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

Good morning!

A neural pathway connects one part of our nervous system to another using bundles of axons called tracts. These amazing axons or tracts allow us to make new brain pathways on our brains from each new learning experience.

Psalm 139:14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made…

Neural pathways can work for our good (A balanced appreciation of nice experiences) or against us (an incorrect dwelling on bad/sad experiences).

If we live our life by letting it be filtered through bad memories and grief experiences our ability to be the conquerors God says we are is greatly reduced.

Romans 8:37 – No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Romans 8:31 -What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

We can use scripture to form new neural pathways and change (Romans 12:2) how we think. We must think things differently and repeatedly.
Some habits are formed in 18 days with an average time being 66 days. Others take 200 or more days.

1 Corinthians 10:13 warns against temptation leading into bad habits and painful decisions. Fortunately, God is faithful to help us off and away from destructive mindset-habits. However, doing so requires actively fighting back by practicing God’s truth’s daily. Practicing God’s Biblical truths empowers us to change (Make new pathways) how we think and later how we live.

John 8:32 – And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Let us strive to abandon the negative pathways trying to bring ruin to our life. Instead, let us lay down new pathways that bring life and life more abundantly (John 10:10).

Have a fear free day in the Lord and in His delivering power!
