Good morning!
The Apostle Paul had the custom of first preaching to the Jews when he entered a new city. Here in Acts 17, Paul and his companions preaching were so impactful the local religious officials went into an uproar. They demanded that all of them be arrested. By their own admission, Paul had turned the world (Standard Jewish Religious practices) of those local officials upside down!
The late J Vernon McGee states that when they said, “These men” (Christ Disciples) were turning the world upside down, that is just what they meant. When Christianity was introduced to the old Roman Empire it was considered a revolutionary ideology.
The Gospel is intended to bring about an internal spiritual revolution. Bringing change that is so positively impactful, it needs to be shared with others so that their lives can be impacted as well.
Let us strive to use our time on this earth wisely, doing all we can to turn our little part of this world upside down for the cause of Christ.
Have a wonderful day in His wonder-working power!
