STICKS AND STONES CAN BREAK BONES, AND WORDS SURE HURT AS WELL!

Ecclesiastes (NKJV) 7:21-22 Also do not take to heart everything people say, Lest you hear your servant cursing you. 22 For many times, also, your own heart has known that even you have cursed others.

Good morning!

The above verses are a perfect example of how easily we can be offended by other people’s hurtful words, while making excuses about the hurtful words we say to or about others.

Since we all have said offensive words that need to be forgiven, we should learn to travel lighter and not focus on staying angry about the bad words others may have spoken about us. We must never forget that the Bible tells us we will be held accountable for every word we have spoken.

Matthew 12:36 – But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Let us strive this day to make the words we speak to be only the type of words that bless us or those around us!

Psalms 19:14 – Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
