Good morning!
A few years ago I was leaving my subdivision and headed to work I noticed a small bug crawl out from under my hood and slowly walked up my windshield.
As I approached the interstate on-ramp I increased my speed, I figured the tiny bug would blow off my windshield at any second. But nope, there it was, hanging in there.
To look at its little needle-like legs, you’d think there was no way it could stand up against the increasing force of the wind. I watched as the bug rotated its tapered body into the wind. This significantly reduced the deadly wind drag on its body.
That simple maneuver allowed it to survive the killer high wind speeds of over 65 MPH for a brief (Probably seemed like forever to the bug) four-mile trip.
I exited the interstate and came to a stop at a red light. I watched as it flew away as if it had no significant damage. Sure, it may have suffered some trauma from its treacherous trip, but it wasn’t enough to keep it from going on about its business.
The storms of life storms are often brief. But also very brutal. But, when we position ourselves in Christ and let Him maneuver us through these storms we can weather them. Yes, we may be scuffed, scratched, and a bit worse for wear, but we will still be in the fight and ready to go about our Heavenly Father’s business!
Let us strive to know God does not always allow us to escape difficult situations. But He will give us the strength to endure them.
1 Corinthians 2:3 – And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling,
May your day be powered by His mercy and might!
