Good morning!
Some years ago I completed a firearms training class where the most important lesson learned was there is no room for error when you choose to discharge a weapon.
Discharging a weapon is a choice that requires split-second decision-making skills that needs to be based on an acute awareness of “Everything” going on around us.”
2 Corinthians teaches we must apply this same principle of awareness to become spiritually proficient in discerning the thoughts that enter our minds.
Proverbs 28:26 – Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.
In order to have the right thinking (For right living), we must be divinely led in the split-second decisions needed to decide whether to keep a thought or discard it as soon as it enters our minds.
We have no option but to keep an awareness of everything entering our mind knowing it will impact our life either negatively or positively.
Mind control has always been a well-known tactic used in conventional warfare, as it is well known that if you can control the way a person thinks, you can then control the way they live. Game over!
Remember, the ultimate battle in this world comes down to who will be controlled by Christ and who will be controlled by Satan! This fight will only be successfully waged using the spiritual weapons God has provided us in Ephesians 6:11-18.
Let us strive to remember to always think about what we are thinking about!
Proverbs 4:23 – Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
