Good morning!

When driving, we can’t afford to take our eyes off the road for an extended period. The longer the loss of focus, the greater chance we may run off the road, hit a curb, damage a rim, hit another vehicle, or worse.

Colossians 3:2 is speaking to our need to stay focused during our Christian Race. We are warned that when we lose heavenly focus due to earthly distractions it will cause us serious issues.

Galatians 5:7 – Ye were running well; who hindered you that ye should not obey the truth?

The best way to avoid becoming distracted, discouraged, and disgusted is by not becoming too attached to this world’s system (Romans 12:2).

There are so many temptations this temporary world uses to make us lose focus on eternal matters. But never forget, none of them are worth losing our souls over.

Lastly, remember that while God did equip us to deal with every earthly distraction, He never said it would be easy.

Romans 8:18 – For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Let us strive to use every tool God has given us to remain focused on where we are going and not where we are.
