The verse speaks to the comment I’ve heard many times and often used myself. “I guess in time, it will all make sense.”
In reality, there are so many mysteries to how God works in this life, that there is simply no way we will ever understand everything. That is why He’s God and we are not!
Of course, there are times when I can sense to a degree the possible rationale behind why something may have occurred. But be at a total loss concerning other situations.
Ecclesiastes reminds us that this intricate and wondrous world God has created is beyond our capacity to fully understand. We also lack the lifespan to see things play out as well.
James 4:14 “Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.”
Scripture tells us that when we eventually depart this earthly life in Christ, we will transition into the heavenly realm where we will have a better revelation of what we experienced on earth.
1 Corinthians 13:12 – For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Remember, there will always be things in this life we don’t understand and seem just outright unfair. That is why it is in our best interest to continually pray for wisdom (James 1:5) and seek God as to how to cope in and with these unexpected situations.
Finally, we must also work on developing enough trust in God to know that whatever we feel has not been dealt with here on earth will be dealt with in the coming eternity!
Have a blessed and Biblically based contemplative day!
